Proverbs 18:5
It's wrong to favor the guilty
and keep the innocent
from getting justice.
(Contemporary English Version)
I could tell you more about this than you'd ever want to know, so to keep me out of trouble I will make this short! From my own personal experience I have lost a lot of hope in earthly justice. I have come to realize that just because you are right and can prove it, does not mean you will get justice. This is why I no longer put my hope in man's faulty systems.
In this world of imperfect people and selfish motives, we will suffer injustices. It's inevitible and a natural by-product of fallen man. I'm learning not to wallow in the ashes of injustice, but to rise up again, knowing God is on my side. He is my defender and my redeemer. And if God is for me, whoever is not is of no significance at all.
It's verses like this that bring me peace and comfort, knowing how God feels about it. These are His words and I've got to believe that His words never return void. So I will wait. It is God alone who justifies. One day He will make all things right.
